It was during one of his business trips to see a member
of the Bourvil family in the south of France that Maurice Dufresne discovered
the glider from the film "La Grande Vadrouille".
From the moment he saw this magnificent bright red glider, autographed
by Bourvil and De Funès but abandoned in a warehouse along with
old taxis and ambulances, Maurice Dufresne didn't cease to try to acquire
it for his museum. Of course, at that time the owner didn't want to part
with it.
Maurice Dufresne was tenacious and he regularly contacted the owner,
persuaded that in time he would give in. This was the case 20 years
after their first meeting. |
