Maurice Dufresne has almost identically reconstructed a workshop of
the Bassereau factories of Tours, which were in production from 1902
to 1988.
Everything is here; the office of the workshop foreman, the
accounting books, the time clock, the arrangement of the weaving machines
with bobins and finished products.
A number of the looms are pedal operated dating back to the 14th century.
Only eight of the original weaving machines are not present in the Museum
Dufresne because they were offered to the city of Tours at the time the
factory was closed.
