The structures Baltard from the old market of Tours allowed Maurice Dufresne to construct in Villeperdue his "Supermarket of Used Materials" in 1953. 
The company is managed by his three children, has 20 employees and covers 20,000 m². Here, one finds  numerous downgraded products or ones coming from closeout sales: tools, sheet metal, wire fencing... 

The buildings in Villeperdue are not a museum, but constitute nonetheless, a real Aladdin's cave since it is the back store for the Museum Dufresne where all of the objects and vehicles are stored while waiting for restoration.
